The updated Social Studies Standards are being reviewed by the State Board of Education during the May 8, 2018, meeting. Very soon thereafter an online review will take place to gather feedback from the public about the final draft of the revise standards.

At a minimum, please provide feedback about your grade level or course that you teach, and encourage your social studies colleagues to do the same. I will send out another communication once the online form is available.

Below you will find access to a cut and cap copy which shows all the revisions made to the previous version of the standards, and a clean copy showing all the revisions in a final format.

The State Board of Education will consider the feedback and then make their final decision on approval for the revised standards during their August 2018 meeting.
