If you have not joined us in the past, then you have missed out on what many attendees have said is some of the best professional learning in Social Studies they have had in a long time.

These meetings are designed to meet your needs as a Social Studies educator. A lot of useful information is exchanged that you might not otherwise know about, coupled with professional learning opportunities that involve gaining access to new instructional practices, curriculum and assessment resources, and student engagement ideas. This year you’ll learn about the yet to be approved revised State Social Studies Standards, interact with State Social Studies Assessment Consultant Scott Koenig, review and discuss the 2018 MSTEP results with Genesee ISD Research Evaluation and Assessment Coordinator Dr. David Treder, learn how to help students improve their reading skills, and learn from other classroom educators about various relevant topics. For more information and to register for each meeting, click on the appropriate link above.

Feel free to email me with any questions or suggestions you might have.
