At the MCSS Annual Conference last Saturday, Michigan Department of Education Social Studies Consultant, Jim Cameron, announced the updated timeline for the State Board approval of the standards.

At this point, the timeline reflects the State Board of Education is scheduled to approve the revised standards during their October 2017 board meeting.

Be aware, you will be able to review and provide feedback on the revised standards during the Public Online Comment Survey scheduled August 15 through September 5. As soon as the survey is posted, you will receive notice via email.
