ABOUT THE COURSE:
This intensive six-week, online summer course begins with a review of the 12 Key Elements of Economics, followed by modules on the Sources of Economic Progress, the Role of Government, and Practical Personal Finance. It is a compressed version of our semester long educators’ course offered in spring and fall. An online learning management system guides you through weekly assignments, quizzes, and tests, as well as engages you with integrated peer-to-peer and instructor-led discussions. Teachers may qualify for 45 hours of professional development credit or, for an additional fee, you may dual-enroll with the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs for three hours of master’s credit in economic education. Promotion applies only to course registration, and will not apply for the UCCS fee for those seeking graduate credit. |
